Ten New Mexico Pueblos generated $101 million in slot machine revenue this past quarter, The Albuquerque Journal reports.

Most of the money was earned by tribes in the metro-Albuquerque area. Sandia, Isleta and Santa Ana Pueblos have casinos close to the city.

Under compacts approved by the Department of Interior, the tribes contributed $8 million to the state. The amount is based on a two-tier system.
