New Pequot chairman seeks local talks

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2002

Michael J. Thomas, newly elected chairman of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, is meeting meeting with leaders of three towns who have been hostile to casino development, land-into-trust and federal recognition.

The meeting with Ledyard, North Stonington and Preston takes place today. Thomas takes office in January.
