Archaeologists believe they have uncovered evidence that links the Aztec culture in central Mexico with Mayans in southern Mexico and Guatemala.

Inside a pyramid in the Aztec city of Teotihuacan, the international team found remains of three men buried with jade objects that are more characteristic of Mayan culture. Archaeologists suggest a link between the "ruling" families of each civilization.

The burial site was dated to A.D. 350.
