Ojibwe man claims strip club is sovereign

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 2002 An Ojibwe man in Minnesota has declared a strip club he owns sovereign territory, immune from state and federal authority. Al LaFontaine, 82, is a member of the Turtle Mountain Ojibwe Tribe of North Dakota. His strip club, which has no name, is located in Elko, Minnesota. Get the Story:
