Shawnee tribe moving forward with casino

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 20, 2002 The Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma is moving forward with plans to open a new casino. The facility would be located on trust land in Tecumseh. Some local residents voiced objections but Mayor Greg Wilson said there is not much that can be done to stop the proposal. The city council is expected to vote on providing city services to the casino. Get the Story:
