The Target Corporation has donated $15,000 to the American Indian College Fund to provide scholarships for Native American students attending tribal colleges across the country.

Mervyn's, a Target Corporation company, and Target Stores provided the money. Richard B. Williams, executive director of the College Fund, said the grant will "make the dreams of more American Indian students a reality."

"Tribal colleges are creating graduates, skilled workers and community problem-solvers," he said.

There are 32 tribal colleges in the United States.
