Passage of omnibus bill unlikely

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2002 The House meets this morning to wrap up final business but passage of the Native American Omnibus Act may not be one of them. "Right now, it isn't good," a spokesperson for Rep. J.D. Hayworth (R-Ariz.) told The Lincoln Journal Star. The bill addresses a broad range of topics, from health care to technical changes to other bills. But it also includes amendments to the Indian Land Consolidation Act to reform Indian land inheritance. Get the Story:
