FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 2002 The Bush administration has approved drilling in the Padre Island National Seashore Park in Texas, The New York Times reports. The Department of Interior will allow two new natural gas wells. The island has been drilled before and sixty wells already exist. An estimate of the reserves is put at 80 billion cubic feet. Environmentalists fear the project will harm the world's smallest and most endangered sea turtle. Get the Story:
