TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2002

The business committee of the Cheyenne-Arapaho of Oklahoma is voting on an agreement to accept the land where the Sand Creek Massacre of 1864 occurred.

The land is in Colorado. A casino management company bought the land in exchange for a five-year extension on its agreement with the tribe.

The land is critical to the preservation of the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site.
