The Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island has formed a gaming partnership with Harrah's Entertainment, a former rival.

The tribe was accusing the company of trying to thwart its earlier deal with another gaming company. But sachem Matthew Thomas now says Harrah offered the best deal.

The tribe has been actively seeking casino development for at least a decade. State voters have to authorize new gaming.
