The Massachusetts gambling commission gambling commission held another public hearing on Tuesday to discuss the legalization of casino gaming in the state.

According to The South Coast Standard-Times, testimony from Wampanoag chairwoman Beverly Wright was the highlight of the hearing. Wright said the tribe could have a casino up and running in less than two years if gaming was legalized.

Wright also said the tribe could exceed revenues of nearby tribal casinos in Connecticut that draw a large number of Massachusetts residents. She said the state would benefit through a revenue sharing agreement.
