FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2002 Fewer than 1 percent of students at Florida State University claim Native descent but the American Indian Student Union keeps busy with a number of community events. The group has eight active members, including non-Indians. They are planning a three-day pow-wow in February 2003 and try to keep their traditions alive. FSU's mascot is the Seminole Indian.
