Tribal businesses being investigated

Three convenience stores owned by the Fort Peck Tribes of Montana are being investigated for financial improprieties.

The tribal executive board ordered the probe in the wake of unpaid bills and an employee who admitted stealing $9,000. Chairman Arlyn Headdress said some employees might be laid off.
