TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2002

Outgoing Navajo Nation President Kelsey Begaye will be out of a job, and out of home, next month.

Begaye lost his re-election bid to Joe Shirley Jr. He tells The Farmington Daily-Times he has received job offers but he wants to stay close to the reservation.

Begaye's personal home was destroyed by a fire in 1996. The council is reconsidering a resolution to build him a new home.
