Conn. casinos report slot machine growth

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17, 2002 Connecticut's two tribal casinos reported results of their slot machine earnings for the month of November. The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation said its casino saw $62.7 million win, or the amount kept after winnings are paid out to gamblers. The Mohegan Tribe's win was $61.8 million. The "handle," or total amount bet, for the Mohegan Tribe was $790.5 million. This was $40 million more than the Pequot casino handle. Get the Story:
