Police in Denver knew of serious threats against prominent American Indian Movement members but never informed the men, The Denver Post reports.

Glenn Morris and Ward Churchill were to be killed, according to information found in the city's so-called "spy files." Russell Means was to be injured.

All three men say they weren't told of the threats. Morris says he wants answers.

AIM, the Native American Rights Fund and the Leonard Peltier Defense Committee were among the groups the police kept tabs on.
