Navajo family gets new hogan courtesy tribe

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2002 The Navajo Nation is paying to build a new hogan for a single mother in San Juan, New Mexico. Arlene Fuentes works for Navajo Agricultural Products Industry, a tribal enterprise. The local chapter government identified her as in need of new housing and the tribe paid $25,000 for materials and labor. The family is set to move in by the end of the year. Get the Story:
