The National Indian Gaming Commission on Thursday cleared the chairman of a California tribe of wrongdoing in an incident at the tribe's casino.

Vincent Armenta, chairman of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians, was accused of giving friends a free game of blackjack using house money. According to the NIGC review, Armenta played with his own money, the Associated Press reported.

The tribe also investigated the incident and suspended two casino employees.
