Nev. man sentenced for reservation murder

THURSDAY, JANUARY 16, 2003

A Nevada man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for the murder on the Walker River Reservation.

Eugene Michael Wood, 29, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. He and and accomplice shot and killed Gerald Williams in June 2001.

The federal government has jurisdiction over crimes committed by Indians in Indian Country.
