Government scientists and Navajo community members met last week to discuss uranium mine problems on the Navajo Nation.

The Environmental Protection Agency has been examining old sites throughout the reservation. They contain dangerous levels of uranium and chemicals like arsenic and radium.

But the scientists say the agency doesn't place a priority on cleaning the abandoned sites. They are trying to prepare information for Congress.
