Mohegan Tribe trying to revive language

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2003 The last fluent speaker of Mohegan died 95 years ago. Today, the Connecticut tribe is trying to revive the language. The tribe is working with a language specialist to recreate Mohegan. Language classes are offered with the hope of developing fluency among a young generation of tribal members. Get the Story:
