Ariz. city gives nod to water settlement

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2003 The Tucson city council has approved a water rights settlement with members of the Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona. The tribe in 1975 sued to prevent the city from using water. Congress approved a deal in 1982 but some tribal members objected, leaving some issues open for resolution. Get the Story:
