DOJ lawyers accused of cover-up in trust case

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2003 The federal judge overseeing the trust fund blasted Department of Justice lawyers for blocking inquiries into the credibility of a key witness and their own role in the debacle. U.S. District Judge Royce C. Lamberth ordered the six attorneys to pay fines out of their own pocket. But he said he wouldn't bar the federal government from reimbursing them. Get the Story:
