Former South Dakota Governor Bill Janklow's last minute pardons came under fire at a hearing on Monday.

Janklow pardoned dozens of convicts, including American Indian Movement activist Russell Means, and then ordered the records sealed. According to the South Dakota State's Attorneys Association and state attorney general Larry Long, Janklow may have not followed the law by doing so in certain cases.

Janklow is now serving in the U.S. House of Representatives.
