Potawatomi tribe is top lobbyist in Wis.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2003 The Forest County Potawatomi Tribe was the top lobbyist in Wisconsin for the 2001-2002 legislative session. The tribe spent $1.37 million, mostly to lobby against a proposed zinc and copper mine that is opposed by a number of tribes, local governments and environmentalists. It was part of a total of $46.6 million that "special interest groups" spent on lawmakers. Get the Story:
