Navajo man faces state and tribal charges

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2003 A Navajo man who led New Mexico state and tribal police on a high-speed chase is facing numerous charges in both jurisdictions. Milford Etsitty, 30, was being pursued by the state when he entered the Navajo Nation near Shiprock. He will be charged with DWI, speeding, reckless driving, unlawful flight from pursuing police officers and possession of marijuana by the tribe and similar charges by the state. Get the Story:
