Wyoming Governor Dave Freudenthal honored John Myers, a member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe, for 50 years of volunteer fire service.

Myers, 78, is a member of the Lander Volunteer Fire Department. He says he didn't plan on spending so long helping out. "It just sort of snuck up on me," he said, according to The Casper Star-Tribune.
