Lakota family seeks answers on police shooting

TUESDAY, MARCH 11, 2003 The family of a man killed by a police officer in Rapid City, South Dakota, says they are not angered by his death but want to know the truth. A police officer shot Lucas Ghost Bear on Sunday. Ghost Bear was reportedly intoxicated and was carrying a knife when he reportedly lunged toward the officer. The family is asking the Department of Justice to look into the incident. Shootings by police in the city are very rare. Get the Story:
