Students all across Alaska are preparing for the 2003 Native Youth Olympics, to be held in Anchorage next month.

The event began in 1971 with 12 schools participating. Last year, more than 74 teams and 343 students competed in events like the wrist carry, seal hop, the armpull and the high-kick, all of which are traditional Alaska Native activities of skill and agility.
