Republicans in Wisconsin are asking President Bush to intervene in their fight against new tribal gaming compacts.

Gov. Jim Doyle (D) made agreements that have open-ended terms and allow for expanded gaming. In exchange, the tribes are giving more more money to the state.

GOP party members say President Bush should reject any compact that doesn't expire.

In related news, the Racine County Board passed a resolution in opposition to the compacts. Officials say they are being left out.
