Mayan priest an activist kidnapped in Guatemala

THURSDAY, APRIL 10, 2003 A Mayan priest who was active in a human rights group and in the Indian community was abducted in Guatemala last week. The kidnapping of Diego Xon is one in a rash of recent crimes that human rights activists say the government is behind. The home of the director for the Mutual Support Group, a group for relatives of those who died or went missing in Guatemala's bloody civil war, was raided earlier this week. Get the Story:
