A reported 5,000 people attended a memorial service on Saturday for Army private first class Lori Piestewa, the Hopi woman killed in action in Iraq.

The service was held in Tuba City, Arizona, a town on the Navajo Reservation. Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano received a standing ovation when she said Squaw Peak should be renamed for Piestewa, 23, a single mother of two. She will push for a name change through the State Legislature after being rebuffed by a state official.

Piestewa was buried Saturday on the Hopi Reservation.
