The Farmington Daily Times in an editorial today s backs the renaming of Squaw Peak in Arizona for Lori Piestewa, the Hopi woman killed in action in Iraq.

The paper also calls for a war crimes investigation into Piestewa's death and those of her fellow soldiers. "It is the least we can do for Lori Piestewa of Tuba City, Ariz., and the other members of the 507th who gave their lives for us, and who may very well have been a victim of those crimes," the paper says.

The paper is based in the Four Corners region of New Mexico and has a large Navajo readership.
