Jacqueline Chee: "I truly believe that renaming Squaw Peak to Piestewa Peak would be most honorable to her family and a reminder to other Native Americans who reside in the Valley."

Don Schreiber: "People too often become caught in the hysteria of the moment and make wrong decisions. Apparently, the governor and her spokeswoman are a couple of these people."

Steve Weatherburn: "Piestewa Peak is a wonderful idea, and it is surprising that anyone should take issue with it."
