Nev. tribe works with state on fish recovery

THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2003 The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe and the state of Nevada have joined in an effort restore the threatened Lahontan cutthroat trout. The tribe and the state released 300 adult cutthroat into the Truckee River. Over five years, 2,200 spawning-age cutthroats will be released into the river. A challenge of the project is not to disrupt other species in the river. Get the Story:
