National Indian Gaming Commission Chairman Phil Hogen met with an opponent of a Class II bingo hall in New York, The Syracuse Post-Standard reports.

NIGC has been asked to determine whether the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe's purchase of 229 acres in New York qualifies the land for gaming. Rep. Sherwood Boehlert (R-N.Y.) contends the tribe has no jurisdiction or authority over the property.
