Tohono O'odham Nation forms boxing commission

FRIDAY, MAY 16, 2003 The Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona will become the sixth tribe in the country to form its own boxing commission. The tribe's three-man commission, which follows state standards, will go to work tonight in a fight between Anulfo Castillo and Omar Bernal, both of Mexico. The bout will take place at the tribe's casino. Also on the bill is Ray Martinez, a member of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. He will fight Humberto Velasquez. Get the Story:
