The Oklahoma Legislature is set to take up a bill that would authorize tribal gaming compacts.

The bill seeks to clarify the type of casino games that are legal in Oklahoma. It would allow tribes and race tracks to offer the same electronic machines.

The machines aren't identified by name but the bill would authorize games by Multimedia Games Inc. of Texas and Sierra Design Group of Nevada that might otherwise be considered illegal in the state.

If tribes enter into a compact, they would be required to share revenues with the state. The state finance chief expects to take in $27 million to $30 million from tribal gaming operations.
