Lakota language focus of 1 700-mile Spirit Walk

MONDAY, MAY 19, 2003 The Seven Fires Foundation, a non-profit organization, has organized the 1,700-mile Spirit Walk to preserve Lakota language and culture. Walkers hope to raise money and awareness for the cause. They will travel from South Dakota to Washington, D.C., to lobby for Native preservation programs. Get the Story:
