Wis. tribes contribute to problem gambling center

TUESDAY, MAY 20, 2003 Wisconsin tribes contribute more than $30,000 to the Wisconsin Council on Problem Gambling. The organization, which also receives money from the state and private sources, says it has received an increase in calls in recent years. There was a 45 percent rise from 2001 to 2002. Rose Gruber, the council's executive director, fears more problems under expanded compacts signed by Gov. Jim Doyle (D). Get the Story:
