Red Earth arts and pow-wow fest opens in Okla.

FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2003 The Red Earth Native American Cultural Festival opens in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, today. The three-day fest features a pow-wow and an arts show. Over $58,000 in prize money will be distributed during the weekend. The 2003 Red Earth ambassador is the first American Indian astronaut, John Herrington, a member of the Chickasaw Nation.
