Navajo Nation's DC office gets new director

Sharon Clahchischilliage has been named executive director of the The Navajo Nation's Washington, D.C., office by President Joe Shirley Jr.

Clahchischilliage, whose background is in education and social work, comes off an unsuccessful run for New Mexico state secretary. She ran on the Republican ticket.

The Washington office represents the Navajo Nation in Congress and the federal government.
