WEDNESDAY, JUNE 4, 2003

In case you missed last week's "Now With Bill Moyers," you can read a transcript of the show on Deputy Interior Secretary J. Steven Griles.

The segment featured taped speeches of Griles and footage of the show's attempt to interview him. A clip of the infamous "human shield" incident is shown.

Featured prominently is Kristen Sykes, who has amassed records on Griles' activities on behalf of the environmental group Friend of the Earth. She says Griles, who used to lobby for the mining industry., has violated an ethical agreement he signed promising not to make decisions on former clients.

Environmental groups say Griles' records warrants the appointment of a special prosecutor by Attorney General John Ashcroft.
