Southern Ute council said to be in shambles

FRIDAY, JUNE 6, 2003 The members of the Southern Ute tribal council "have no communication, trust, respect, and can't work together," a council member said in a statement to The Durango Herald. "This is a shame that we as Tribal Council can't get along, and the major tool we need here is communication," councilor Joycelyn Dutchie wrote in the statement. Dutchie is the target of accusations by other council members and tribal investigations. She feels she is being unfairly singled out. Get the Story:
