Wash. tribe awarded grant for tech services

TUESDAY, JUNE 10, 2003 The Squaxin Island Tribe of Washington has been awarded a $735,250 Rural Utilities Service Broadband Program grant to provide the more than 100 tribal homes with high-speed Internet, cable TV and telephone access. The RUS program is part of the the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The agency has awarded significant funds to tribal projects. Get the Story:
