Glenn Froberg: "How is it that the Star Tribune is so hung up on the thought that some American Indians might find it offensive to see certain sports teams named the 'Braves' or 'Chiefs.'"

Al Seever: "I feel very sad that the newspaper might print insensitive sports team names again."

Louis Gray/Native American Times: "While we know your heart is good, your decision to step back into the dark ages is indeed sad. Please remember a wise paper can always change its mind to do the right thing."

Mark Anderson: "Regardless of the intent, those names don't seem very honoring to me. Why can't we see that these Indian names are just as offensive?"
