A former member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma testified she was allowed to vote in the tribe's recent election.

Sally Luethje told the Cherokee Nation Supreme Court that she is currently enrolled with the United Keetowah Band. The court is hearing arguments over the election because a candidate who lost the race for chief is challenging the results.

Incumbent Chief Chad Smith won with 52 percent of the vote.
