Tribal summit to focus on Indian policy issues

FRIDAY, JUNE 13, 2003 Tribal leaders are gathering on the Gila River Reservation in Arizona tomorrow for a summit on Indian policy issues. The federal budget, consultation and the political process are on the agenda for the day-long event. It is being hosted by Navajo Nation President Joe Shirley Jr. and National Congress of American Indians President Tex Hall. The summit is a prelude to NCAI's mid-year conference, also being held at Gila River June 15-18. Get the Story:
