A trial is underway in Alaska over a challenge to the state's English only law.

Alaska Native villages say the law is discriminatory. They won a lower court ruling that tossed the law.

The Alaska Supreme Court is hearing an appeal of the case. Alaskans for a Common Language say it is just "symbolic" and doesn't actually force state agencies to do business in English.
