Rosebud woman is part of elite Air Force unit

Jacqui White Hat, a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of South Dakota, is part of an elite Air Force unit that provides medical service to injured or ill troops.

White Hat, the only Indian in the 352nd Special Operations Group, serves as a technical sergeant for the all-female Special Operations Forward Medical Element. Currently deployed in Iraq, she has flown missions over Bosnia.

White Hat wants to return to a state-side assignment to continue her education to obtain a physician assistant's degree.
